MT. VERNON — — Mrs. Ruth Nadine Waterman Eagleson, 82, of King, N.C., died Sunday, May 20, 2012, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born Nov. 10, 1929, in White County, to the late William and Evelyn Matthews Waterman. Mrs. Eagleson was a homemaker and a bookkeeper. She was a strong advocate for special needs children. She is survived by her daughters, Deonna Schreiber and husband David of Mount Vernon, Tina Robertson and husband Larry of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Kimberly Johnson and Robert Buyna of King, N.C.; son, Larry Bemont and wife Laura of Lincoln; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Mrs. Eagleson was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Dewey Eagleson; her daughter, Sherry Bemont; two brothers and two sisters. Private services will be held at a later date at Kirk Cemetery in Ina. Howell-Nelson Funeral Service of Pilot Mountain is serving the family.
