He was born September 18, 1938, in Harville, Mo., the son of Clyde and Anna Noreen (Montgomery) Singleton. "Rooster" worked as a pile driver. He was a member of Grace Methodist Church in Poplar Bluff, Mo., and the First Church of God in Maunie. "Rooster" is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Alice Singleton of Doniphan, Mo., Michelle and David Wiggins of Winona, Mo., Cheryl and Herbert Miller of Hardin, Ky., and Leanna and Eddy Con, of Smithland, Ky.; a sister, Hazel Adams of Cornhaven, Tx.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild expected. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his stepfather, Ed Schell. Funeral services for "Rooster" will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi. Visitation will be held Wednesday, from 11 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place in Marshall Ferry Cemetery.
