<http://www.carmitimes.com> Carmi Times Posted May 27, 2012 @ 11:41 PM Dacula, Ga. - Steve Richards, age 59, of Dacula, Ga., formerly of Crossville, passed away after he lost his hard fought battle with cancer on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 11:15 p.m. at the Embacing Hospice in Snellville, Ga. Steve was preceded in death by his father and mother, M.T. and Faye Richards, sister, Kim Richards, and mother-in-law, Louise Schreifels. Steve is survived by his wife of 25 years, Becky Schreifels Richards; son, Bernd (Allyson)Cox, Jr.; grandchildren, Makensey Cox and Scott Cox; sisters, Linda (Jim) Langford, Gayle (Doug) Edwards; in-laws, Jim (Diane) Schreifels, Susan (Brad) Thomas; father-in-law, Bill Schreifels; nieces & nephews, Johnna Smith, Craig (Robin) Edwards, Vickie (Jason) Jones, Jill Armstrong, Doug Armstrong, Matthew Schreifels, Holly Schreifels, David Thomas, and Dalton Thomas; and an uncle, Melvin (Joan) Johnson. Steve was the owner-operator of Steve Richards Tank Truck Service in Crossville and was a member of the Crossville Rotary Club prior to moving to Florida where he resided over 20 years, then moved to Georgia where he lived for three years. Steve was a member of the New Hope Road Church of Christ in Dacula, Ga. Funeral Services for Steve Richards, 59, of Dacula, Ga., will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with Larry Fryer officiating. Burial will be in Stokes Chapel Cemetery in Crossville. Friends may call at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi on Tuesday, from 5 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New Hope Road Church of Christ in Dacula, Ga., and may be given at the Campbell Funeral Home.
