<http://www.carmitimes.com> Carmi Times Posted Jul 10, 2012 @ 04:24 PM o Grayville, Ill. - Adolph Fred Kleinschmidt, 80, died Monday, July 9, 2012, at Meadowood Nursing Home in Grayville. He was born February 2, 1932 in Wabash County, the son of Christian and Augusta (Kirsch) Kleinschmidt. He was married to Mary Jane (Gray) Kleinschmidt for 61 years and she survives. Adolph was a retired truck driver for the city of Grayville, Gray Township Supervisor for 25 years, Christian Church Elder, and a member of Oak Grove Cemetery Association Board for many years. He loved to sing, loved his family, his church and was an avid gardener. Survivors include his wife, Jane; two sons, Randy (Deb) Kleinschmidt of Grayville and Jeffrey (Lisa) Kleinschmidt of Evansville, Ind.; one brother, Lawrence (Liz) Kleinschmidt, Indianapolis, Ind.; a sister Millie Akers of Lawrenceville; four grandsons, Eric (Sonya), Zachary (Jamie), Aaron (Dawn) and Andrew (Joni) Kleinschmidt; seven great grandchildren, Sydney and Ethan, Kenna and Zane, Ava and Ian, and Chandler. He is preceded in death by parents Chris and Augusta Kleinschmidt; brothers Alvin K., Leo, Edgar, and Albert Kleinschmidt; a sister Wilma Morris; and great grandson Aiden Randall Kleinschmidt, who is safe in the arms of Jesus. Visitation is 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday, July 12 at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville. The funeral is at 10 a.m. Friday at Cook Funeral Chapel with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church Building Fund.
