Pauline Russell Miller, age 91, of Enfield, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012, at Deaconess Hospice Care Center in Evansville, Ind. She was born May 25, 1921, in Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Emily Mary (Darnell) Russell. She married Wm. Chalen Miller in 1970 in Enfield, and he preceded her in death in 1988. Her favorite hobby was to cook hot and cold pies, of any kind or flavor. She loved to sing gospel songs and go to church. She was a member of the General Baptist Church in Enfield for all of her 91 years. She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Richard and Connie Thomas of Crossville, and Darrell and Sherry Thomas of Fort Mill, S.C.; a daughter, Carol Brooks, of Eldorado; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Lewis Franklin "Buck" Russell of Enfield; a sister, Goldie Jordan, of Advance, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Thomas; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, George Edgar Thomas in 1991; son, Gary Thomas, and a daughter, Kay Thomas (Willoughby); sisters, Audie Rose, Allene Alldredge, Gladys Pierce, and Blanche Meade; and a daughter-in-law, Terry Thomas in 1991. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at the General Baptist Church in Enfield. Visitation will be held in the church from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service. Pastor Dan Atkinson and Chaplain Mike Fields will officiate. Burial will take place in Enfield Cemetery. Memorials may be made to General Baptist Church of Enfield. Arrangements have been provided by Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield.
