— Ida Mae Southard, 85, of Norris City, died 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was born June 15, 1927, in White County, the daughter of Joel and Mattie Evelyn (Snyder) Healy. She married Carmel C. Southard; he preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Robert (Helen) Healy of Kankakee; two grandchildren, Michelle and Forest; and a brother, Joel Healy Jr. of Norris City. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, James William Healy, George Arnold Healy, Charles Mason Healy and Sammie Healy; and four sisters, Lilly Ellen Healy, Stella Evelyn Cable, Mary Elizabeth Healy and Rutha Ann Thornton. Mrs. Southard worked as a psychiatric aide at the former Kankakee State Mental Hospital. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Burial will be at Digby Hill Cemetery in Dale. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Wabash —
