Barbara was born June 17, 1935 in Van Nuys, Calif., the daughter of James Harry and Roberta (Falles) Moore and graduated from Southeastern Illinois College of Nursing. Barbara was an accomplished LPN, licensed in Reflexology and had worked in the office of Dr. John Reid for many years. She owned two exercise salon businesses in Carmi. Barbara worked for Wabash Area Planned Parenthood for several years. She attended Zion United Methodist Church in Carmi for many years. Most recently, Barbara attended American Baptist East Church in Evansville where she was a member. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Barbara is survived by daughter, Valerie Carter of Carmi, sons, Jim Heil (Nancy) of Edwardsville, and Jeff Heil of Carmi; grandchildren, Jennifer Carter-James (Justin), Jason Carter (Amber), Andrew Heil, Matthew Heil, Jarrod Heil and Macey Heil; great grandchildren, Jace Carter, Kaden Carter and Kinley Carter; sisters, Joyce Keller (Jim) and Marilyn Gill; several nieces, two nephews, Ernie and Randy Keller and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Shirley Hopkins. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, located at 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Ange Humphrey-Relyea officiating. Burial will be in Centerville Cemetery north of Carmi. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2012 at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel.
