goodness! I even forget what I wanted to know about William Crisel. My main Crisel I am searching for is Mary Charlotte Crisel, (John) Hutchcraft, (George) Daily. She was born about 1827-1830 HCI to Charles and Peggy White Crisel, married John Hutchcraft in Hamilton County, Illinois January 1849, son #1Hu Wm. Harrison tchcraft b. November 1849, and John deserts the family by census 1850. In 1851 Mary Charlotte has a second son named Charlie Hutchcraft and family lore indicates he died young. Mary then divorced the "scoundrel" John Hutchcraft 1855 in HCI and remarries to George Dailey in 1858 HCI. Together they had one known son, Silas Dailey who married Melinda Hullinger. In 1880 census, Mary is age 50, George is not around, and she is living with the Hullinger family in HCI. And then she is gone. We are pretty sure we have located the John Harrison Hutchcraft in 1850 in Bourbon County, Paris, KY; and remarried by 1856 and eventually moves to Texas. John and Mary Charlotte would be my (now deceased) husband's GG/Grandparents. But we find nothing on Mary. Where do you live/? I am in Ford County, Illinois, just NW of Champaign; We used to get down to HCI once or twice a year - our favorite vacation spot is Holiday Inn @ Mt. Vernon, then travel over to McLeansboro daily. My daughter went one time and really enjoyed it and she has brought me down twice, so there is hope for more trips late spring. Someone in the Hutchcraft, Dailey, Crisel Hullinger line has some old paperwork they've forgotten about - maybe photos too of their ancestors. What I have found on Crisel and Daily and Hullinger are filed now at McCoy Library - more to find! Gail Hutchcraft Ford County, Illinois ladybuggc@sbcglobal.net
