Carmi Times Mon Apr 20, 2009 Olney, Ill. - Colleen M. Harrington, 59, Olney, formerly of Crossville, died Saturday, April 18, 2009, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. She was born Jan. 1, 1950, in Russellville, Ill., the daughter of George and Lela (Martin) Harrington. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, playing horseshoes and hunting mushrooms. Survivors include: her companion of 27 years, Duane Jones of Olney; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Tony and Jennifer Loyd, and Rudy Loyd; two daughters and a son-in-law, Crystal and John Gutierrez, and Shirley Duvall, all of Olney; four brothers and their wives, Ralph and Helen Harrington of Springfield, Charles and Mary Harrington of Crossville, Lyman and Sandy Harrington of Pinkstaff, Ill., and Dickie and Debbie Harrington of St. Francisville; two sisters and their husbands, Kristine and Larry "Jug" Banks, and Sue Harrington and Don Gosnell; brother-in-law, Eddie Joe Schmittler and sister-in-law, Pat Harrington, all of Crossville; 16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by: her parents, George and Lela Harrington; three brothers, Merle, Randy and Roger Harrington; two sisters, Melba Harrington and Kay Schmittler; one grandchild; three nephews; and one great-niece. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. and funeral services follow at noon Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Crossville with burial in Stokes Cemetery near Crossville.
