Tresa J. Gunter, 46, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at 8:55 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2009, at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.She was born in Mt. Vernon on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 1962, a daughter of Arthur Wayne and Mary Jane (Smith) Ackley. She was married to David Morgan for 18 years, beginning on Nov. 21, 1980. She was married to Brian Gunter for eight years, beginning on Feb. 18, 2001.Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Sursa Cemetery in Jefferson County. The Rev. Ted Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow.Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.Tresa is survived by her parents, Arthur and Mary Ackley of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Ashley Morgan and special friend Shaun Morlan of Bonnie and Jessica Bland of Mt. Vernon; three grandchildren, Mar-keyla and Darious Morlan of Bonnie and Ocean Bland of Mt. Vernon; three sisters, Patricia Wagers of Cambria, Pamela Brumfield and husband Tracey of Mt. Vernon and Rebecca Cross of Clarksville, Tenn.; a brother, Allen Ackley of Coalinga, Calif.; six nieces; two nephews; one great-niece; and two great-nephews.Her aunts, uncles, grandparents and one sister, Kathy Ackley, preceded her in death.Tresa was employed at the Hampton Inn in Mt. Vernon, attended Harlan Road Church of God in Mt.
