Carmi Times Fri Oct 23, 2009 Carmi, Ill. - Norma Stocke, 96, Carmi, passed away at 7:40 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was born Feb. 22, 1913 in Carmi, the daughter of William and Ida Mae (Cross) Gordon. She married William Albert Stocke Aug. 12, 1931, and he preceded her in death Jan. 20, 1984. She was a member of First Christian Church in Carmi. She was a homemaker and had worked at Ainsbrooke sewing factory for 12 years. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Cecil Hucker of Carmi; three sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Lois Stocke of Princeton, Ind., Gordon Stocke of Kell and Ron and Sherry Stocke of Carmi; ten grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Wendell Lee and Wayland Sherrill Stocke, and a sister, Wilma Louise Chilton. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 2009 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Monday until service time at 1 p.m. at the funeral home
