Flora Wagner, 97, of Mt. Vernon, formerly of Carmi, passed away at 8:10 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2009, at Countryside Manor in Mt. Vernon.She was born June 7, 1912, in Ullin, the daughter of Charles Henry and Lydia Mae (Lovin) McCluskey. She married Chester Bertram Wagner on July 5, 1930, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 1978.Mrs. Wagner was a homemaker. She was a member of the Carmi First Pentecostal Church and was a Sunday School teacher.Flora is survived by two sons, Larry and wife Cecilia Wagner of Mt. Vernon and the Rev. Donald and wife Pauline Wagner of Moorehead, Minn.; a sister, Rose Griffin of Winter Springs, Fla.; a brother, Charles McCluskey of Carmi; six grandchildren, David, Randy, Douglas, Christopher and Arron Wagner and Donna Coy; 15 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Kenneth Ray Wagner; a brother, Hayward McCluskey; stepmother Mary Melvin McCluskey; a great-grandson, Dustin Coy; and a great-great-grandson, Dayne Wagner.Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with the Rev. Bill Wagner officiating.Burial will be at Newman Cemetery near Carmi.Friends called the Campbell Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Published in the Mt.
