Carmi Times Tue Sep 15, 2009 Carmi, Ill. - Audry L. Maloy, 53, rural Carmi, died Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at Deaconess Hospice Care in Evansville, Ind. She was born Dec. 8, 1955, in Lovington, N.M., the daughter of Oscar James "Coonie" and Wanda Lee (Clark) Slaughter. She was married to Tim Maloy, and he survives. Audry worked in the bakery of Buehler's Buy-Low in Carmi and later in Evansville. She attended First Baptist Church in Carmi. Sewing, crafts and reading were among her favorite pastimes. Survivors include her husband, Tim Maloy of Carmi; a daughter, April Randolph and her husband, Jason, of Anna; her father, Oscar James Slaughter of Evansville, Ind.; four sisters, Brenda McClure of Carmi, Cathy Owen of Grayville, Doris Swan of Fairfield, and Ellen Hayward and her husband, Brian, of Sullivan; and a granddaughter, Veronica Randolph. Preceding her in death was her mother, Wanda Lee Slaughter. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Carmi. Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi is in charge of final arrangements.
