Carmi Times Thu Sep 10, 2009 Enfield - Robert Warthen, 61, Enfield, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. He was born Oct. 27, 1947 in Eldorado, the son of Willard and Beulah (Brunner) Warthen. He worked at the Springerton Feed Mill as well as being a farmer. He was a member of Enfield United Methodist Church. Robert is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, John and Kay Warthen of Springerton; a half-brother, Woodrow "Bud" Biggerstaff of McLeansboro; a niece, Shannon Woodrow; and a great-niece, Baileigh Warthen. He is preceded in death by his parents and a half-brother, Donald Biggerstaff. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place in Enfield Cemetery.
