Carmi Times Mon Nov 23, 2009 Carmi, Ill. - Shirley Ann Wagner, 70, Carmi, passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2009 at her residence in Carmi. Shirley was born Nov. 2, 1939 in Carmi, the daughter of Henry and Georgia (Brock) Hutchinson. She married Billy Ray Wagner on Nov. 23, 1961. Shirley was a minister's wife and member of Carmi First Pentecostal Church. Shirley was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, the Rev. Bill R. Wagner of Carmi; two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Stephenie Wagner of Carmi, and Kevin and Pam Wagner of Mt. Carmel; five grandchildren, Rachel McBride, Jennifer, Shelby, Jessica and Nathaniel Wagner; one great-granddaughter, Alexa McBride; one stepgrandson, David Syers; and one stepgreat-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her sister, Norma Hutchinson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, the Rev. Leon Clark officiating. Burial will be in Newman Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carmi First Pentecostal Church and can be made at the funeral home.
