In 1963, her youngest son, Thomas, was involved in a tragic auto accident at the age of 15 that left him paralyzed for the rest of his life. She was his loving caregiver for 46 years. Her husband, Wilburn, two sons, James and Thomas, and grandson, David, preceded her in death. Two sons and one daughter survive her: Kenneth M. (Phyllis) of Evansville, Ind.; Wilburn W.
