Carmi Times Wed Nov 18 Carmi, Ill. - Janice Merriman Dierlam, 68, died Oct. 13, 2009. She was born July 28, 1941 to Beatrice Dean and Robert Merriman. She graduated from Carmi Township High School in 1959. She will always be remembered for her love of laughter, devotion to family and love of her dogs. Janice was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Janice is preceded in death by her father, Robert Merriman; Janice is survived by her husband, Sam Dierlam; her mother, Beatrice Cartmill, and stepfather, Charles Cartmill; her children, Christa Zimmerman (Keith), Elizabeth Gonzalez, Brad Price and Christopher Dierlam; and her grandchildren, Michael, Jacquelyn, Aric, Matthew, Shelby, Robert, Jill, Julie and Tyler. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel in Corpus Christi, Texas.
