Carmi Times Wed Nov 04, 2009 Norris City, Ill. - Louis LaRock, 69, Norris City, passed away at 12:53 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 at Phoenix Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carmi. He was born Oct. 3, 1940 in Hartford, Conn., the son of Edmund and Anna Chloe (Smith) LaRock. He was a Marine Corps veteran and a member of Norris City American Legion Post 106. Surviving are a daughter, Kim LaRock of Huntsville, Ala.; a son, Dwain LaRock of Ann Arbor, Mich.; a sister, Dorothy Anderson of Ft. Myers, Fla.; and a cousin and caregiver, Peggy Brewer of Norris City. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City, the Rev. Terra Sisco officiating. Burial will be in Village Cemetery near Norris City. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
