ENFIELD, Ill. - John Carleton Apple, 93, died Dec. 2, 2009, at his home. He was a retired farmer and a member of the United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Amy; daughters, Carla Cook and Kathy Cooper; sisters, Elizabeth Barbre and Aleta Ritchey; brother, Max; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at the Christian Church in Enfield, burial in White County Memorial Gardens in Carmi. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Stendeback Family Funeral Home.
