Carmi Times Tue Dec 15, 2009 Norris City, Ill. - Douglas Kennedy, 68, passed away at 2:33 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, 2009 at his residence in Norris City. He was born July 14, 1941 in Norris City, the son of Franklin Orville and Lillian E. (Brian) Kennedy. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the American Legion, VFW and the Masonic Lodge. Surviving is a son, William Douglas Kennedy of Sumner. Military graveside funeral services and burial will be at noon Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009 at Village Cemetery in Norris City, with the combined units of the American Legion and VFW officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.
