Carmi Times Wed Dec 09, 2009 Grayville, Ill. - Jack Shields passed unexpectedly of a massive heart attack Dec. 7, 2009. He was 41. He is survived by his sons, Brandon and Dalton of Sterling Heights, Mich.; his mother, Barbara Shields of Carmi; three brothers, Michael of Harrison Township, Mich., Dennis of Bone Gap and Dale of Cottondale, Fla.; four nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by one nephew. Jack was a resident of Grayville for many years before moving to Michigan. There will be a memorial service at a later date, as the body will be cremated and returned to Carmi.
