Carmi Times Tue Dec 15, 2009 Evansville, IND Irene Moore, 95, of Evansville, Ind., formerly of Carmi, passed away at 10:19 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009 at Parkview Care Center in Evansville. She was born May 26, 1914 in Carmi, the daughter of Luther and Rosa (Bates) Adams. She married Raymond Moore, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 1992. Irene was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church in Carmi, the Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Rosemary and Daryl Harmon of Evansville, Ind. and Lydia L. Moore of McLeansboro; a stepdaughter, Maxine Thompson of Springfield; two stepsons, Raymond D. "Doug" Moore and James "Jimmy" Moore, both of Carmi; two sisters, Rosa Lee Bloomer of Alton and Catherine Upton of New Haven; two brothers, Sparky Adams of Eldorado and Buck Adams of Carmi; two grandchildren, Daren Ray Harmon and his wife Paula, and Brandi N. Harmon; one great-granddaughter Madalyn Rae Harmon; and several stepgrandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Audria Silverman and Mary Evelyn Adams, and three brothers, Max, Shorty and Bill Adams. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to all the staff at Parkview Care Center, especially April, Cookie, Sue, Ann, Paula and Angie for the special care given to our mother over the past three years. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, the Rev. Donald Bernhart officiating. Burial will be in North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the service time at 3 p.m. Friday at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
