Carmi Times Mon Dec 28, 2009 Carmi, Ill. - Harold D. Turner, 47, Carmi, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind. He was born May 9, 1962 in Carmi, the son of Martin Dee and Marjorie E. (Hawkins) Turner. Harold was a 1980 graduate of Carmi Community High School. Surviving are a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Dennis Hite of Carmi; a stepsister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Mike Bleeks of Fairfield; two nieces, Brandi and Danny Goodwin, and Mandi Hite; two stepnephews, Aaron and Talsa Cozart, and Eddie and Brittanie Bush; four great-nieces and great-nephews, Dakota Hite, Desirae Goodwin, Mikaela Goodwin and Johnny Bush; an uncle and aunt, David and Susie Hawkins of Grayville; and his best friend and buddy, Toddy Buttry. He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, James F. Cozart. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, with Mike Fields officiating. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery near Carmi. There will be no visitation.
