    3. Carmi Times Mon Dec 14, 2009 East Cape Girardeau - Mary Mae Holtzclaw, 89, of East Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 at her home. She was born Oct. 11, 1920 in Miller City to Charles and Bertha Douglas McKenzie. She and the Rev. Albert D Holtzclaw were married on June 13, 1940 at Morganfield, Ky. They were members of Apostolic Promise Church in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Albert D. Holtzclaw of East Cape Girardeau; one son, Charles A. Holtzclaw of East Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Betty Shepard of Bushnell, Fla. and Rebecca Holtzclaw of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, Kenneth McKenzie of Norris City; one sister, Marjorie Robinson of Norris City; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, three brothers, four sisters, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, at Ford & Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14 at Ford & Sons Sprigg Street Chapel, the Rev. Timothy Lee officiating. A second funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, at Stendeback Family Funeral Home/Kittinger-Fair in Carmi, the Revs. Timothy Lee and Roy Holtzclaw officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place in White County Memorial Garden near Carmi.
