Hello Everyone, It was not until my county lost the family research programs do to budget cuts do to it wasn't being used that much that I realized about these programs. There is different log on sites for H.Q. one has bar code and another has user name and password and another has where you enter your zipcode and phone number. Some it is a state program and everyone in the site can use it free of charge and at home and some are county and some from libaray and some from home and some only in libaray some pay a fee like 20.00 a year at there research center and can use it from home. Some even offer ancestry at home it all depends. Some if your county libaray don't have it and you live and you have a libaray card you can go to the next county and they will honor it and give you there card and let you use it at home. The different progranm differ from state to state and county to county and libaray. I am still trying to find something where I live. This information I hope helps people keep it if you still have it and stop other from getting theirs cut. It maay help others that may be able to get these pgrams free of charge at home such as H.Q. and Ancestry and it might help others not have to keep going to libaraies and research pleaces that are so far away. Even get some progams cheaper at research centers buy get off line. I did say please call and ask you libaray if you could share your barcode but please never give out personal information. I never expected people to give out their libaray, card, phone numers and such and for sure never thought people would sell the information for fraud. I was trying to help me and others as so many don't know there are ways to get it cheaper or free. I didn't realize that whole states have this progam.
