I am a descendant of William Sparkman Harvey, b 1785 NC and died aft 1858. I don't know what, if any, relation he is to your William Harvey. However, in my Harvey research notes I have the following: "Records at the County Courthouse, Carmi Illinois, list a William Harvey who died Feb 17 1846. Administration papers list heirs as Widow Nancy Harvey Children John - (1850 White County Federal Census has John Harvey b ca 1828, a laborer, in George Taylor household #367,) George, Susan, Harriet (later married Robert Jameson), William P, Charles W, Thomas, Martha,David" Administration papers also show that William Harvey owned land in Section 35 Twp 5 S Range 9 E. Located in the south west corner of Carmi Township on the east side of the Little Wabash river I also have in my notes info about Harriet's brother William P Harvey. "Petition of George W Harvey in the matter of the estage of William P Harvey deceased, for letters of Administration. William P Harvey of White county died at his home on the 5th of October 1863. Property valued at $300. Elizabeth Harvey his widow and Sarah J Harvey his child. George W Harvey his brother and administrator. Administrators Sale - Bill of Sale - Estate of William P.
