    3. Carmi Times Thu Aug 13 2009 Norris City - Homer Cameron, 64, Norris City, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009 at his residence. He was born Aug. 5, 1945 in Owensboro, Ky., the son of Frank and Myrl (Stogner) Cameron. He married Mary Rose Hafford in January 1967, and she survives. Mr. Cameron was a retired 20-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a lineman and then an electrician for General Electric for 30 years. He was a member of Crossroads Bible Church at Norris City, where he worked in the Crossroads Food Pantry, stocking and supplying food for 17 years. Mr. Cameron enjoyed woodworking as a hobby. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Rose; three daughters and sons-in-law, Dianna Lynne and Clint Karnes of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Lorie Dene and Tom Oxford of Norris City, and Lisa Beth and Todd Mayberry of West Frankfort; three sisters, Pam, Rose Mary and Susan Cameron; two brothers, Thomas and Charles Cameron; and eight grandchildren, Amber, Katie and Andrew Karnes, Zack and Bethany Oxford, and Brooke, Cassidy and Bradyn Mayberry. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Crossroads Bible Church in Norris City, Chad Everett officiating. Burial will be at Old Cottonwood Cemetery at Omaha. Friends may call from 2 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the church. Campbell Funeral Home of Norris City is in charge of arrangements. Loading commenting interface...
