Carmi Times Tue Aug 11, 2009 Norris City, Ill. - SN (SW) Brad Staley, 21, Norris City, passed away at 6:20 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009 at Kentucky Lake in Lyon County, Ky. He was born Feb. 26, 1988 in Evansville, Ind., the son of Jeffery Alan and Annjanette Sue (Morphis) Staley. Mr. Staley was a Master Helmsman with the U.S. Navy First Deck Division on the USS Eisenhower. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Angel and Eric Drone of Norris City; his father and friend, Jeff Staley and Julie Hill of Norris City; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Danielle and Kyle Rankin of Carmi, and Taylor Staley of Norris City, one brother, Shaun Staley of Norris City; maternal grandparents, Jim and Margie Morphis of Hermitage, Tenn. and Sandra and Nile Stoltz of Olney; paternal grandparents, Sue Staley of Norris City, and Larry and Leona Staley of Fairfield; maternal great-grandfather, William Boyd of Flora; two aunts, Tonya Powell of Springfield, and Lei Anne and husband Mike Westfall of Norris City; one uncle, Terry and wife Debbie Turner of Chandler, Ind.; and one niece, Kadence Rankin. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City, the Rev. Roger Hobbs officiating. Burial will be in Powell Cemetery near Norris City. Friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.
