Carmi Times Thu Mar 18, 2010 Grayville, Ill. - Rosetta York, 86, Grayville, died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Meadowood Nursing Home in Grayville. She was born May 22, 1923, in Grayville, the daughter of William Harrison and Retta (Keeling) Mobley. She married Edmond E. York on March 11, 1939, and he preceded her in death on January 13, 2004. Rosetta was a homemaker and a member of North Side Baptist Church in Grayville. She loved her grandchildren and her garden. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Janet York of Grayville; a sister-in-law, Shirley Mobley of Carmi; four grandchildren and their spouses, Billy and Ann York, Fawnda and Marvin Wineberger, Mark and Kris York, and JaVan and Brad Cook; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, three sisters and a great-grandson, Tanner York. Visitation and funeral services will be Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville. Visitation is at noon and continues until funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville.
