Carmi Times Fri Mar 05, 2010 Grayville, Ill. - Erma M. Young, 95, Grayville, died Friday, March 5, 2010, at Meadowood Nursing Home in Grayville. She was born July 9, 1914, in White County, the daughter of Rolla and Eva (Gillespie) Campbell. She was married to Marion A. Young on April 8, 1932, and they celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary before he preceded her in death on Aug. 16, 1993. She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Mt. Carmel and later became a member of First Christian Church in Grayville. She was a past Matron of Eastern Star and a member of the White Shrine of Mt. Carmel, Illinois. Survivors include two daughters, Winnifred Kuykendall of Grayville, and Norma Walter and her husband Richard of Green Valley, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Donna Mills and her husband John of Philpot, Ky., Mary Lingafelter and her husband Steve of Grayville, Mark Walter and his wife Thanea of Naperville, and David Walter and his wife Sharon of Cary; nine great-grandchildren, Jayla Dilbeck and her husband Shawn of Harrodsburg, Ky., Lissa Mills of Dallas, Texas, Jason Mills of Lexington, Ky., Logan Mills of Chesterfield, Mo., Ashley Roosevelt and her husband Kyle of Grayville, Katrina Walter and Alexander Walter of Naperville, and Ashley Anne Walter and Dylan Walter of Cary; and three great-great grandchildren, Tucker, Taylor and Tessa Dilbeck of Danville. Visitation and funeral services will be Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville. Visitation is at 2 p.m. and continues until funeral time at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association and will be accepted at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville.
