If anyone has the death records for the 1884 period for Wabash Co I would appreciate a lookup. I have been told that Sarah Hatfield Odam Rotramel died in Wabash Co on December 3, 1884. Sarah's maiden name was HATFIELD. She first married Simeon ODAM in TN. She second married John ROTRAMEL in Edwards Co IL. My goal is to determine who her parents were. Sarah Rotramel died 3 Dec 1884 at 3 PM near Bone Gap, Edwards Co., IL of congestive pneumonia, complicated by cerebro spinal meningitis, aged 57-8-16. She had been ill for 11 days, with the complications setting in 3 days before her death. She was attended by Dr. J. Ed Kitchen of Bone Gap. She was a widow, born in Wabash Co., IL. She was buried 5 Dec 1884 at an unnamed location. Undertakers were Streever & Hall of Grayville. [Death Book 1:61, Edwards Co., IL]. Parents are not listed on death records in Edwards Co., IL until Death Book 2 (begins Aug 1909). There are no extant newspapers in Edwards Co., IL from this date in 1884.
