Carmi Times Fri Jan 08 Carmi, Ill. - Charles Robert "Charlie Bob" Britton, 51, McLeansboro, passed away at 11:39 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010 in Mt. Vernon, Ill. He was born Oct. 19, 1958 in Carmi, the son of Robert Dale and Marjorie L. (Prince) Britton. He was an oil treater for B & B Tank Service of Norris City. Surviving are his mother, Marge Britton of Enfield; a sister, Lisa Partain of Enfield; aunts, uncles and cousins. He leaves a beloved companion, his dog Oscar. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, the Revs. Jeff Haley and Mike Buckman officiating. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery near Carmi. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
