Howard F. Stull, 78, of Dahlgren, passed away at 4:49 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at Carbondale Memorial Hospital. He was born in Hamilton County on May 6, 1931, a son of Frank J. and Lucy Jane (Brumley) Stull. He married Doris Jean Gill on July 14, 1956, and she preceded him in death. He was a retired farmer.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren with the Rev. Kenneth Holland officiating. Interment will follow at Dahlgren IOOF Cemetery with graveside military rites by the Mt. Vernon American Legion Post 141.Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Masonic rites by the Opdyke Masonic Lodge will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.Mr. Stull is survived by a daughter, Vickie Stull of Grayville; an aunt, Ruby Mitchell of Crossville; and several cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.Mr. Stull was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a 55-year member of the Opdyke Masonic Lodge.
