has died _____ Carmi Times Sat Jan 02, 2010 Norris City, Ill. - Carolyn Harrelson, 68, passed away at 7:20 p.m. Friday, Jan. 1, 2010 at her home in Norris City. She was born May 31, 1941 in Carmi, the daughter of William McKinley and Martha Lola (Garrett) Wright. She married Kenneth Gene Harrelson Aug. 7, 1959. She was a member of Ditney Ridge Baptist Church and the Genealogy Society of White County, Illinois. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Kenneth Harrelson of Norris City; a daughter, Karla Lindsay of Fairfield; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kenneth Dwain Harrelson of Norris City, and Senior Airman Matt and wife Sarah Harrelson of Layton, Utah; a sister, Vonda Ritcheson of Carmi; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Jane Cooper Wright of Carmi; and two grandchildren, AFC Daniel Lindsay of Minot, N.D., and Kristina Lindsay of Fairfield. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City, the Rev. Steven Friese officiating. Burial will be in Kingdom Cemetery near Carmi.
