Robert "Rosy" Rosenberg, 81, died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at his home in Wayne City. He was born Aug. 29, 1928, in Keenes, to G.R. and Ruth (Reed) Rosenberg. He married Betty (Donoho) Rosenberg on Jan. 15, 1954. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Keenes Christian Church with the Revs. Tim Coonce and Martie Mills officiating. Interment will follow at Thomason Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at Keenes Christian Church. Robert is survived by his wife; two sisters, Mary Ellen Clark and Bertie Sexton, both of Wayne City; two sons, Bobby and Pam Rosenberg of Fort Dodge, La. and Chuck and Kim Rosenberg of Carmi; two daughters, Linda Woodrome and husband Jay of Mt. Vernon and Nique Scarbrough and husband Chris of Wayne City; seven grandchildren, Emily LaBoude, Aaron Woodrome, Katie Rosenberg, Jimmy Rosenberg, Joshua Rosenberg, Keskue Scarbrough and Oreskey Scarbrough; and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by family friends and loving pet Jack. Robert was a retired agriculture retailer, who ran Rosenberg Seed and Feed in Wayne City. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge 759 in Wayne City. He was a member of Keenes Christian Church. For those who wish, memorials may be brought to Keenes Christian Church and Thomason Cemetery.
