There were two Martin Vaughts born within a year of one another in White County, Illinois. The Martin born to John B. Vaught did not have any children by the name of Charles. The other Martin Vaught who married the Kuykendall and had a son, Charles, age 14 in the 1880 Census...was the son of Wm. Vaught of Muhlenburg County, KY to Gallatin, Sumner, TN 1813 - 1883. Wm. was the son of an Abraham Vaught and Eliza Ann Bell (1787-1876 and 1794-1861 respectively)...and Abraham was the son of John Vaught 1761 - 1813, PA to IL and Elizabeth Martin (perhaps the genesis for the name Martin) 1763-1843, Derry, Miflin County, PA to Muhlenburg County, KY.
