Carmi Times Mon Jan 25, 2010 Crossville - Sherman T. Harvey, 70, rural Crossville, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at his home. He was born Oct. 31, 1939, in Livingston, Tenn., the son of G. L. and Ruby E. Harvey. He was married to Patricia (Scott) Harvey, and she survives. Sherman was self-employed in oilfield equipment sales. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his family, he leaves behind numerous friends. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Harvey of Crossville; two sons, Sherman Dennis Harvey of Evansville, Ind., and Charles Harvey and his wife, Rebecca, of New Harmony, Ind.; a daughter, Rebecca Sue Jackson and her husband, Steve, of Evansville; two brothers, Claude Harvey and his wife, Helen, of Harrah, Okla., and Robert Harvey of Phillipstown; three sisters, Dee Keyes of Tarpon Springs, Fla., Lucille Navins, and Ann Hummel and her husband, Hallis, all of Allons, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Amanda Hillhouse and her husband, Matt, Michael W. Harmes, Camille Owens and her, husband, Wes, Nathan Owen and Caleb Harvey; three great-grandchildren, Laney Owens, Kainen Owen and Braxton Owen; two great-grandchildren on the way, Baby Hillhouse and Baby Owen; numerous nieces and nephews; his doctors, Dr. Lee and Dr. Stephens; and the staff of Oncology Group of Evansville. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Crossville. Funeral is at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Crossville. Burial will be in Little Wabash Cemetery near Crossville.
