Carmi Times Thu Feb 11, 2010 Norris City, Ill. - Victoria E. "Vicki" Shewmaker, 59, Norris City, passed away at 3:58 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. She was born Nov. 9, 1950, the daughter of Ernest and Martha (Pierson) Freeman. She married Glendell Paul Shewmaker May 16, 2000. She was an X-ray technician at Urgent Care. Surviving are her husband of nine years, Glendell Shewmaker of Norris City; father and stepmother, Ernest and Lynn Freeman of Payson, Ariz.; a daughter, Karen Schisler of St. Louis, Mo.; a son, Chad Farris of Evansville, Ind.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Debby Bello and Becky and Kenny DeLosier, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; and three brothers, Barry Freeman of Peoria, Ernest Freeman of Phoenix, Ariz., and Billy Farris of Peoria. She was preceded in death by her mother and a sister, Brenda Kay Grissom. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City, the Rev. Russ Beadles officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Norris City. Friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
