Carmi Times Thu Feb 18, 2010 _____ Carmi, Ill. - Donald Schauberger, 71, Carmi, died Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 17, 2010 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. He was born Sept. 14, 1938 in Carmi, the son of Glennard and Dorothy (Brown) Schauberger. He married Betty (King) Warrner on May 25, 1986, and she survives. Mr. Schauberger worked at Wal-Mart for 21 years. He attended McHenry United Methodist Church. He had been a member of the American Legion. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Gladys Schauberger of Henderson, Ky.; a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann and Tom Burris of Evansville, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Warrner of Evansville, Ind.; three stepsons, Steve and Mike Warrner of Gaylord, Mich., and Scott Warrner of Springfield; four grandchildren, Halie, David, Eric and Ian; 12 stepgrandchildren; and 13 stepgreat-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Glen. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at Stendeback Family Funeral Home/Kittinger-Fair in Carmi. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place in North Maple Ridge Cemetery. Military burial rites will be provided by members of the American Legion and VFW posts of Carmi. Contributions may be made to McHenry United Methodist Church.
