There are many counties that have both a Historical Society and a Genealogical Society. They seem to do quite well together. I personally have had the pleasure of genealogical assistance from two or more of the ladies listed with the new society. I do not know if they are certified or not. If they are not "certified" they are truly experienced in White County records. I have not thanked them enough for the efforts and time they have provided me. No need to be upset about anything, no one is being pressured to do anything they don't want to. Be happy that whatever direction they are going, they want to help.
