Pat Davis and associates are once again opening new avenues of research for those of us doing research in White County. An organized genealogical society is a great asset to current and future researchers. I am very greatful to the genealogical societies who have collected and published data from the local records, published it in their newsletters, and provided information to be publish in books and on the internet. Their community spirit is reflected in those publications and thier collective efforts to preserve the identities and the facts and the spirit of those families who built a commuity in publicatons is a tribute to the past and a legacy for the future. I am greatful for all the information and personal contacts I have found with my computer, but I still find curling up with a book in my lap comforting. I am very excited to learn that there another resource for White county research will soon be availabl.e I am looking forward to the arrival of the first issue of "Roots and Branches" in my mailbox.
