Hi Marion - Unfortunately, there seems to be a vast difference in goals and philosophy between the Historical Society and the new Genealogy Society founders. Most responses have been extremely favorable to having a separate Society that concentrates only on Genealogy, with actual Genealogists at the helm. We welcome and appreciate your input, though! In the message below, the new society that will concentrate on Genealogy is said to have "actual Genealogists at the helm." I gather that means they are certified. Is that correct? If not, what are their qualifications. That is, what makes them "actual genealogists."
