    3. Hi all, I still have lots of information to add to the White County website, but now have all of Charlene Shields' columns indexed at http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilwhite2/wchs.html . There's also a page for Barbara Hughes' columns at http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilwhite2/wchs2.html. Its not the county site, but we tried to make the historical society site easier to use at http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilwcohs by separating the museums from the library from the books for sale. It still needs work. Finally, if anyone is planning to be in Carmi on December 15, perhaps to visit the Bethlehem Revisited village at the Carmi Christian Church, from 2 to 4 pm the White County Historical Society is sponsoring an afternoon with James Ratcliff and his family for an 1850s Christmas at the newly renovated Ratcliff Inn on Main Street in Carmi. Several guides will be in period costumes to talk about the Inn and family life. There is no admission charge and refreshments will be served. Have a good one, Cindy
