Surnames: Carter, McDowell, Miles Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Yh.2ADE/1921.2 Message Board Post: On the old listing for Springerton Cemetery done in about 1970 by Harriet Vaught there is a Shannon Carter, 1866-1925 and Arvilla, his wife, 1870-1909. I also see a Miles Carter, Daniel McDowell and Julia. I don't see a Miles surname. The old books have been for sale from the White County Historical Society for several years, and new books are being prepared from readings taken in the last couple of years. There are also readings of Springerton and most Hamilton Co. cemeteries done in 1986 by Ed Shuster of McLeansboro and available from the author.
