Okay folks, here's the scoop on my newest book: NEW! September, 2002 List of BOOKS and OTHER RESOURCES at the Mary Smith Fay Genealogy Library, White County, Illinois This book lists the contents of the Mary Smith Fay Genealogy Library at 203 North Church Street, Carmi, Illinois. It contains a double listing, tailored to Genealogists: The first list is by Location Country, State, and County. The second list is by category, and includes Birth, Buildings, Cemetery, Census, Church, Court, Death, Family, History, How-To, Land, Map, Marriage, Military, Microfilm/fiche, School, and Tax. Included in each list is the Title, category, number of pages (if the material is numbered), the shelf location in the Library, and additional notes or related family names (if the material is indexed). Many title span multiple states, counties, or categories; these are repeated in each location, within reason. The largest section is the "Family" section, which includes not only family books, but many files, with information on family names gleaned from various sources through the years; these may contain from one to one-hundred pieces of paper, and are constantly changing. Since the family books and files are not location-oriented, they are listed only in the Category Section.
