    3. Roberta, Are you asking about the Jewell Carter Pearce, who was born in 1856 to Prussian Pearce and Martha Logan? Carl Shelton's database says he died in Hamilton County, but no date or burial location. There are a couple of Jewell Pearce's who died as infants, another who born 1903 and mostly lived in Hamilton Co. Maybe the two were confused, too. I'll see if there is a listing for him at Village/Old Prairie. Cindy roberta zink wrote: > > Thank you to all the folks that responded to my Roland query. Cannot tell you how much it is appreciated. All we knew was that our Jewell Pearce was raised in and lived all of his life in Herald's Prairie Township. Now we know exactly the town/village he was in and where it is. We now have a better picture where to look for where he is buried. We're going to start with Old Village Cemetery and hope that is where he is. Again, thank you. Roberta

    3. Cindy: Yes, it was Jewell Carter Pearce. He died January 11, 1917. We got the death certificate from the archives online. He died in Hamilton County and the cert said burial "cem near Roland." We think it could be Old Village Cemetery. Don't know what other cemeteries might be around there. The 1903 you reference is probably my grandfather, Jewell Wheeler Pearce as he was raised in Hamilton County and stayed there all his life. His grandfather, Jewell Carter Pearce and back were all in White County. Jewell Carter died at his son's home in Broughton. Any help will greatly be appreciated. We have been to Lick Creek/Old Prairie Cemetery but could not find him there. But we did find his parents and siblings there. If you know anything about Old Village or any other cemetery around there, we would greatly appreciate the info. Thank You for responding.
