function SetDomain(d) { document.domain = d; }Hi Everyone! I just saw an interesting program on the History Channel about the 1925 Tornado and thought I would pass on some interesting tidbits. Most of what was covered in the show, most of us already know from the research we've done in these two counties. The show was called "Wrath of God." What was interesting about this show was listening to the meteorologists. None of them understand what happened that day. They all said tornados don't travel for 219 miles. What they happened was there were several tornados, probably 4 or so. They think the active tornado spun off another tornado which continued the destructive path. That tornado spun off another tornado, etc. They also don't know what happened to the tornado. They usually lose strength and stop. This one, just stopped and vanished. In the story, if I was listening correctly, I got the impression that later that night, there was snowfall, which is also very unusual. In the show they also had numerous photographs, some interviews with survivors, and interviews with authors who have researched the tornado as well as interviews with meteorologists. I apologize for not writing down the names of the survivors who were interviewed. I can't remember their names. Carol Janes --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Carol: The White County Library has a lot of material on the tornado as it hit White County. Pictures and descriptions are very vivid. Peace, William G.
