My great grandmother is Rada Lee Sims. I am just beginning to discover my "roots". I moved to Bath, NC 3 years ago which is in Beaufort County. I have seen on other family trees that Polly Ann Braddy's father (Joseph) and/or grandfather (Benjamin) is from the Beaufort County, NC area. I am more than willing to find out any information I can from the local library, that does have a nice genealogy room, or the county courthouse. I just need some help in directing me with some accurate as possible name and/or dates to look up. I would appreciate any information to assist me and more than willing to post any information/copies/pictures I may be able to obtain. The Braddy surname is a common name down in this area. Who knows, I am may be able to contact some local "kin" and be able to obtain information that way. Hope to hear from someone soon Sincerely, Lisa Hale Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. My great-grandfather is Israel Nicholas McCarty. he is the son of William and Tabitha Horn McCarty. He says he was born in White Co., IL. (Source is marriage records from 3 wives). My great-grandma who was his 3 wife says he was born near McLeansboro, IL.(source is children's delayed birth records and his death record.) Oh, He was born in 1851. The only place I find him is 1860 Fulton Co.,AR living with his uncle John. His parents are in this same place in 1850. I assume they died before 1860. Researchers have said that Tabitha's mother was a Elizabeth Mcglothin before she married unknown Horn. She remarried a Israel Dewey in 1841 White Co., Il and they moved to Fulton AR. There is a Henry Horn who died before 1840 in White Co and i keep thinking he could be the father. I just don't know how to determine who is related to who. Thanks...... My Aud and Wilson names in my database are still way before these people...... Like born in the 1860's period of time and all the children I have listed are "LIVING" according to the papers I got the info from so those are where all these missing people belong. Janean, Jim's father, Lloyd Herman Aud, 1913-1997, was a son of Mack Clarence Aud, 1895-1959, and Lou Eva Delap, 1895-1983. His mother, Ruby Ann Wilson, 1918-1998, I believe was a dau of William O Wilson and Eva Harrawood. I think Ruby had at least 2 sisters, Joy and Wanda. Hardin (DOB 2-12-1893), who was the son of William Hardin & Maggie Rooks. In looking at your threads, I'm wondering if Maggie Rooks is the same person as Maggie (Margaret) Grandstaff or Maggie (Margaret) Parker. There are (2) marriages recorded in the White CO IL Marriage directory between William Hardin and Maggie Grandstaff on 5/3/1897, and William Hardin & Maggie Parker on 4/9/1893. I've been told he was a Cherokee Indiana who had 5 wives. Please let me know if anyone out there can make a connection! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
