A new website has been activated that will follow where RAOGK(Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness) went. Working with Dale Schneider, husband of RAOGK’s late founder, Bridgett Schneider, the group was led by Mark Rabideau who did the organizing and programming. Take a look at www.generousgenealogists.com . There are already some volunteers listed and many more are needed. For both accuracy and privacy reasons, the original RAOGK’s volunteer database was not used, so if you were listed before, you need to sign up on the new site. If you weren’t listed before and can do a lookup near where you live, your are invited to sign up. If you are in need of a lookup, check out the growing database of volunteers. A lot of folks out there make "leaps of faith" and connect names that are unproven relationships. So just be sure you are double checking with other researchers and asking them where they get their information. That's why this forum is so helpful because we researchers of the same family roots can get together online here and discuss our findings and share documents, photos, etc. My information on the Braddy's is sketchy at best- which is why I started this particular thread on Ancestry.com's Message Boards. The only info I can give you to go on is Joseph Braddy (possible father of Polly Ann Braddy Lee Randolph King) purchased land in Illinois in 1855: BRADDY JOSEPH FD NENE 25 01S 04E 3 4000 13 500 March 29, 1855 041 112 177 469637 0 (Jefferson County, Illinois. His date of birth is estimated at 1799 and death estimated at sometime after 1855. This is the only documentation I have and I can't be sure of much with only this info. I do have a great deal on Polly as she was my GGGG-grandmother. The only photo I have is of her headstone. I'd love copies of the probates if its not too much trouble.
