    1. [ILWHITE] Millers in White County, IL
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: BarbaraFloyd96 Surnames: Miller, Massey, Caywood, Price Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.illinois.counties.white/4435/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My gg grandfather Thomas Miller was born in IL (my information is that it was in White County) in 1833. He then moved to TN where he married Lenora (Massey, I think)where they had two of their three children: Pleasant Greenwood Miller (my g grandfather, b. 1854)and Nancy Caywood Miller (b. 1856). >From TN they moved to Ripley County, MO, where a third child Thomas Jefferson Miller (b. 1859) was born. Lenora was left a young widow when Thomas Miller died in Feb. 1860 in MO. She later married Thomas K. Price in Ripley County, MO. Does anyone have any information connecting Thomas Miller (1833-1860) with their family in IL - perhaps Millers with a Caywood connection as I find no Caywood connection in Lenora's presumed family so I assume Thomas's daughter Nancy Caywood Miller may have been named after someone in his family. He is listed in the 1870 White Co. Census in Phillipstown post office, with Harriet (28) and Adolphus (7). Anyone have anything on this family? Is Lafayette also the Daniel Simpson from the 1860 White County Census in Ensfield married to Sarah Duarrey? They are the right age. I know what happened to Harriet and Adolphus but not Lafayette. Harriet went back to her maiden name of King and so did her son. Was there a divorce? Please Help! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
